Performance Oriented... Not mine.. Thanks to a friend

People often are extremely performance oriented. We learn from the time we are little, the better we perform the more love we receive. In our relationship with God, our thinking often continues in this pattern. We think God will love us and bless us more, the better we perform. But because we aren't able to behave right all the time, we start working and striving, trying to overcome all our weakness.


Our worth is not based on how acceptable we can make ourselves to God. God is looking for people with a right heart attitude toward Him, not a perfect performance record.



2nd Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the Lord run to and froth throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him"



Whose heart is perfect toward him means to have a right heart attitude toward God – to love as much as we know how to love Him; to want what He wants; to want His will; to want to do His will.



We don't earn God's love; we don't earn His blessings. We can go to him at anytime and have our needs met. Hebrews 4:16 days, "Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor), that we may receive mercy (for our failure) and find grace to help in good time for every need (appropriately held and well timed help, coming just when we need it).



People who live and walk in intentional disobedience, but want God to bless them anyway, may think that we don't have to make an effort to overcome our weaknesses to win God's approval. The truth is this: God will use us in spite of our weaknesses and will help us overcome them; we don't have to struggle to overcome them on our own, but we must be progressing toward overcoming them.



God wants us to come to terms with ourselves and learn our value is not in what we do but in who we are. He wants us to be willing to be who we are, weaknesses and all.



Here is the Contrast…The devil wants to bombard us with opportunities to think negative thoughts about ourselves so that we will return to that pattern of thinking most of us learned growing up. He wants us to be contemplating what is wrong with us instead of thinking about what is right with us.



Many people develop a shame-based nature as a result of unfair and unkind treatment by different people- parents, school teachers, friends, strangers. Our attitudes and opinions of ourselves are programmed into us over a period of time.



Dear ones, don't allow how other people treat you to determine your value. People who lack confidence have a private little war going on in their lives. If you want to increase your self-acceptance and your opinion of yourself, decide right here and now that not one more negative thing about you will ever come out of your mouth.

Well i ve been using lime wire to download stuff over the net.. i was introduced to this new.. source of download which is called Torrent.. i know its not new.. for me atleast it is.. well trust me anythin u want over the net is available.. including the latest movies.. softwares.. i was surprised to even find movies which were realeased days back avaialable for download..

aint there in copyright law applicable.. too much to think for me .. but boy its an awesome way to download..

A good Lesson

A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play a game. The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes. Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates, so the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes.

The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags.

After 1 week , the children were relieved because the game had finally ended.

The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?" The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game.

The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime???"

Moral of the story:

Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a life time. Forgiving others is the best attitude to take!

Life is to be fortified by many friendships.To love & to be loved is the greatest happiness.

Fate determines who comes into our lives.The heart determines who stays.

Reality .. World Cup 2007

Well ICC world Cup 2007 .. Look around the ground.. wats the first the first thing you see.. An add for Roopa Vest.. Just imagine the popularity of the game in india.. an vest add in windies.. for an indian product.. LG, Hutch.. Indian Oil.. i think almost all the hoardings in the ground goes wid indian products... well if the indian team for once.. if they did look around the ground.. would not tat be sufficient for them to play the game to the fullest.. all they need is passion..
let see the odds.. why would they need any ways.. officailly they get payed.. more than they deserve.. those crores which come in on ..ads and promos which they do.. well not keeping it officia.. those truck load of cash which comes in from .. match fixing.. wish for once.. they did play wid passion and not for the money.. those millions being let down.. coz dese..11 men who let their entire nation down.. some day.. some team.. will understand.. the heart beat of those millions around..

Imagine.. those promos .. by all those companies tryin to cash on the world cup.. songs.. ads... wish the team promos.. etc.. i do not know.. when we the people gonna learn.. not to trust dese.. people.. i am sitting late and watchin the match.. for wat reason... even wen indias 7 wickets down.. and i dont see any chance .. in hell for them to make it through.. still deep inside.. i hope tat .. they have some passion and make it through.. all we as fans can do is wish.. and tats all .. some day.. some day..

A Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven "

Well let me explain it from two different angles first..

Bibilical

Ruth 4:12 "And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.

This is the blessing which was given to Ruth & Boaz on their wedding.. well it did seem to odd for me at first, lets look and see who Tamar.Tamar was the daughter-in-law of Judah, to whose eldest son, Er, she was married (Gen. 38:6). After her husband's death, she was married to Onan, his brother (8), and on his death, Judah promised to her that his third son, Shelah, would become her husband. This promise was not fulfilled, and Tamar disguised herself as a temple prostitute and offered herself to her father-in-law Judah. She claimed his staff, signet and cloak as pledge of payment. From this union, Tamar became pregnant. When Judah accused her of fornication, she produced the staff and signet and identified Judah himself as the father. Tamar had twin sons, Zarah and Pharez (Gen. 38:30). Tamar enabled Judah to have children of non-Canaanite lineage.

Well from the above, i was surpised why such a blessing for at a marriage function i would not want such a blessing.. then if u read the book of Deutronomy.. ( i cannot re-collect the verse) if u have an off spring out of wedlock only the 12 th generation are allowed to enter the temple. Now, Lets look into this geneology..

Ruth 4: 18 - 22
18 Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
19 And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
20 And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
21 And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
22 And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

12th Generation is David - who became the King of Israel. Well one Bible Scholar actually commented that god had planned to give Isreal a king long before Isreal actually asked for one. So When Isreal asked for a king delete

God gave them a king in saul .. though it was not in his plan.. we all eventually know wat happened.. Israel had enough of saul as a king.. and then under gods chosen King David.. Isreal pospered.. Many a times in our life.. we force god to answer our prayers with fervent fasting and prayers.. always remember if it is not is his time.. it will have its own consequence.. so wait patiently for his time and u will see tat all things go good for u..

Now a chapter from my life.. i am on visit visa here in dubai for the last 2 years.. ever since i came from india.. i joined a company first for 3 months as a trainee.. they could not stamp my visa.. god gave me a better job with a company in sharjah.. i was so eager to stamp my visa with them.. coz i had a car but could not drive.. coz i did not have license.. but it kept on prolonging for no reason.. after 9 months in the firm i requested for a pay hike and they were not willing.. i prayed to god..

god worked for me.. i was offered a job with a british company in dubai and got a real good offer with a good post.. then i thought. if i had stamped my visa with them i was sure.. i would not have been able to get out.. now with the new company i am still waiting for my visa.. i am least worried.. coz i know my god will always have the best reserved for me..

so if ur reading this and ur havin a feelin tat god has not answered ur prayers.. dear friend do not worry.. fret not god says.. he will everythin so perfect in his time.. God bless you..

LIVING YOUR LIFE WITHOUT SIN

There was a little girl, who's father was a pastor.

One day, she came to her father and said, "Daddy, can a person go their
Whole life without sinning?"

The father answered, "No, dear, I'm sorry, but that's just not
possible."

"What about a year, daddy? Can a person go a whole year without
sinning?" She continued.

"No, I don't think that's possible either."

"What about a day, can a person go a day without sinning once?"

"It's very unlikely, no, I don't think they can."

"What about one moment, daddy, can a person go one moment without
sinning?"

"Yes, that is possible."

"Then daddy, I want to live my life, moment by moment."

Isn't that how we should live our lives. Not looking ahead to our
whole lives, or distant plans. But live moment by moment, as if this moment
where Your last one before you reach eternity.

Its Not us..

Well i thought i should write more on attitude.. well when we do somethin in life.. its not thought at the first place that it would turn out to be wrong.. take it as a learning experiance.. wat u learn from one situation in life .. use to live on another.. show urself that ur a good learner.. never live with the thought that u ve commited a mistake and u can never make out of it all together.. like the famous ad words.. " Life is Precious Waste it Not"...

Attitude

What ever we do in life.. attitude is all which matters.. You can see a glass half filled with water in two different ways... Half filled or Half empty.. it depends on the person who is viewing tha glass.. In our life we come across different situations.. situations where we may seem totally lost.. or even have doubts of coming out of it.. then outts of no where the attitude to succeed .. or to come through will solely keep u alive.. Havent heard of stories of people making it through worse than death situations... yes tats not coz of luck.. its so coz they had the will to survive.. will to come throught the worse in life..

Ever feel let down n life.. do not worry.. look at like the half filled glass.. yes at the end the tunnel is always.. life.. and yes at the end of the tunnel u will find ur life.. so just walk through it wid a smile and u may actually feel tat it aint anythin @ all.. Keep smiling..

Women & Men

Can a woman really drive a man crazy?
It depends on the man. If he is wise he becomes a henpecked husband;
if he is not so wise, then there is no other way than to be crazy.
That's why ninety-nine point nine percent of men decide to be
henpecked husbands ? just to survive.
Nothing is wrong with the woman; she is not deliberately trying to
drive you crazy. It is just that their minds function in a totally
different way. In fact that is their attraction; their polarities
function like a magnetic field. The more different a woman is, the
more she will attract you. If she is like you, thinks the way you
think, the attraction will be lost. There will be no tension; the
relationship will collapse.
The relationship is like an arch. When you make an arch you put bricks
against each other; their very opposition creates the strength, and
the arch can support the whole building. But the strength depends on
the opposition.
A living relationship between a man and a woman is bound to be a
little bit crazy. The man cannot drive the woman crazy because his
argument, his way of thinking, is logical. The woman's way of thinking
is illogical, but that is her way; that's how she is made. She
functions instinctively at the lowest and intuitively at the highest.
Man functions intellectually at the lowest and intelligently at the
highest. The way of instinct and intuition is the way of illogic.
Logic cannot drive the illogical person crazy; if anything is going to
happen it is going to happen to the logical mind.
Craziness is part of the logical mind. Craziness simply means your
logic is no more functioning and you are at a loss what to do. You
love the woman, you would not like to lose her. You try in every way
to understand her. But whatsoever you do, you are also helpless ? you
can do only logically. And logically she is not comprehensible; that
way she is very mysterious. You can devote your whole life to studying
a single woman and you will not be able to figure out what is what.
She never tries to understand you. The illogical functioning of the
psyche is not interested in understanding; it simply reaches to the
conclusions without any procedures ? it jumps to the conclusions. And
the miracle is that the woman is almost always right, and you are
almost always wrong. That drives you crazy!
A woman won the lottery. When the husband came he was surprised. He
asked how she managed. She said, "In a dream the figure 7 appeared
three times. So I figured out that three times seven means
twenty-eight."
The husband was aghast. He said, "Then what happened?"
She said, "I purchased the ticket with the number twenty-eight and I
won the lottery."
The husband said, "But three times seven is not twenty-eight, it is twenty-one!"
The woman said, "Then you be the mathematician, but I have won the lottery!"
If you watch the functioning of the woman's mind you can see it
clearly: it is impossible to understand it. The very effort will drive
you crazy. It is not just accidental that Buddha escaped from his
wife, Mahavira escaped from his wife. You cannot escape from the
world. Where will you escape to? At the most you can escape from the
woman who is driving you crazy.
A woman can really drive a man crazy, but still your cooperation will be needed.
Without your cooperation nobody can drive you crazy. If you stop
trying to understand her and start enjoying her, she cannot drive you
crazy. If you try to understand her, naturally you will stop enjoying
her, and then she is bound to drive you crazy.
Rejoice in her! Rejoice in her differences, rejoice in her different
approaches towards life. Rejoice that she is not a man but a woman.
She does not think like you. Not only is her body different from
yours, her psyche is also different. And once you forget trying to
understand her, there is no way for her to drive you crazy.
When you are "with your woman, put your mind aside. Become more
existential and less intellectual. Love her, dance with her, sing with
her, but don't try to argue with her. As far as argument is concerned,
always agree with her and you will never be at a loss. And anyway,
even if you argue, finally you will have to agree with her.

Internation Womens Day -- Wish from my Heart..

Today is International Womens Day.. and i am finding it real difficult to express in words ..about this one package.. called women..

well i believe.. tat .. god has blessed us all giving us a partner in women... a friend in a women.. a lover in a women.. most of all some one who can understand us more than ourselves.. And all i can say is .. if they were not dere.. cant even imagine how life would be like.. imagine ..

Somethin to think .. am not being sugar coated.. here.. but the simple.. truth.. life would never have been wat it was if it wasnt for them.. here is from my hear... THANK YOU for being.. dere..

Truly Devotional

how can u define being devotional?? is it like being like really devotional... be strong for ur religion.. is it stand up for ur religion in a crowd.. is it speaking abt ur religion to another person..?? i ve got a million questions to add to this..

but for me .. being devotional.. is look at another person with love from your heart.. able to support a person who is in real need.. help a poor guy.. have god in u.. i think tats wat truly .. devotional means..

Living in a life..

I often wonder.. when is it that anyone gone understand.. what it means to live a life.. when is it that someone is gone understand that what ever you do is not coz ur the bad guy.. its jst coz u want to have a life on ur own.. some times.. in life.. we make some choices.. some of it good and some of it bad.. how would u know.. wat decision is right and wrong.. i often wander late into the night.. often thinking on this...

i came to know later.. that most decisions that we take are based on our age.. Put a person who probably is 30 and 25 in the same situation.. i mostly believe that the guy who is 15 make a quicker decision which means he is willing to those chances which an older person may not want to take.. he is more careful..

why i am writing.. am not feelin good.. somethin is seriously missin in my life.. and i feel.. i may.. just break aparttttttt...
