An open letter to MS Dhoni

Dear Dhoni,

I have always a been a fan of yours from the days you had long hair to the now days when you are the captain of the Indian cricket team. I have always enjoyed watching you lead this team to series wins; T 20 championship and No Uno Test team in the world.

I am now concerned with your approach to this World Cup 2011. My boss ex boss once told me.. when you sit in a chair for long you feel comfortable and you become complacent with your choices and decisions. For once you have with you resources (an almost good team) which can aid you in winning this cup. Spare a thought for us Fans; we cheer for you, we buy products that you endorse. We also watch your schmuck advertisements. We give you enough TRP's to earn over 300 corers an year in endorsement deals (an average Indian possbily wont earn that in a life time). We know that you are playing for the nation please do not forget the fact that we the fans make up the nation.

I humbly therefore request you let your ego go by.. choose the right combination; spare a thught for the players you have at your disposal ( I am totally hinting at Ashwin) and please stick to your winning batting combination (Yes I mean Virat Kohli coming at two down). Pathan is an awesome player let him play his best ( I refer to him and his pinch hitting in the death overs) at a position that best suits his type of playing. Yuvraj and you kind sir havent really stuck form (so try and play a good supporting role).

Zaheer is good but not great. Nehra is to good when the pitch plays in his favour (understand his limitations). Munaf I feel for him as does you (hey lets wait till world cup is over). Chawla yes he is good players ( do we want to experiment at this level) however he has had his chances and I do not know if he has delivered. Ashwin deserves a shot. Sreeshanth might just be the answer to your problems right about now.

What you have going in your favour is Sachin, Shewags and Gautis form; lets us not screw it up by putting excessive pressure on them to perform each time they are up. Our middle order needs to complement them. Our strength has always been our batting specially in the tracks that we play this world cup on. Let us continue doing what we are doing good now and it is kinda of working for you ( I mean the 7 batsmen thing).

I know and I am aware in a game of Cricket the better team playing on a day wins so I hope that my team no I mean let our team win. Be the Dhoni that we want you to be.

All the best against West Indies ( I mean Pollard in particular).
Play well and Win this cup for India & Sachin

Thank you for reading.

Regards

Till Death Do Us Part

This is one of the vows that is made when two lives are joined together in a solemn vow called marriage. I never knew what this meant till the death of my grand father. My Grandmother passed away almost 12 years before his death. It was like my grand father knew his death was coming close to him during his end days. He died at the age of 88, rather on his 88th Birthday. A few days before his death, he called my mom and told her to open his treasure chest (we call it so as none of us has seen what is inside of it till he passed away; the old man had loads of stuff stashed away :). He asked her to hold on to a plastic cover stashed away inside his chest. He strictly instructed her to open the same after his death.

After his death, my mom opened it and it contained clear instruction; which stated that he should be draped in white Narith (traditional white clothing worn by women in Kerala) which belonged to my grand mom and her reading glasses. He wanted to make the last journey with something which belonged to the love of his life.

He held on to that till the day of his death reminding him of how much he loved her always. Truly I did understant then how much she meant to him.. truly it was till "death do us part"...

You are a Desire..

As I lay on my bed..
looking at the sky..
I see you in my eyes..
A dream so near..
yet so far..
you are near to me..
you are dear to me..
how do i say this to u..
you are all I wanna have.

you change my world so true..
a world that I feel so safe..
a warmth that I feel so sure..
a desire that I love to feel

Womens Day.. A True Salute

Women are probably the best creations under the Sun. They are so much a mix bag of emotions. I wonder how often you see a lady cry and smile at the same time. If it were not for them we would never have any of these Saas - Bahu serials or bold & the beautiful. Imagine Bollywood without ever beautiful girls..

It is true when you say you will never what a women wants.. and I bet it is this curiosity which makes the world around them so beautiful. Men are stronger physically however the strength of a women emotionally can never be comprehended.

Women.. she is a mom, a friend, a sister, a girl friend, a wife, a grandmom and she fits into any of these rules so perfectly. I am grateful everyday coz they really make my day colourful.

here is a small thought in your honour..

I was born..
thanks to you.. my mom
I was lost ..
you made me feel friendship..
thank you my sisters
I never was passion meant..
now i know it is a feeling from within..
thanks to you .. my girl

I now find the world curious..
thanks to you the girl next door..
I have grateful that
I see a new world everyday..
coz you just place things perfectly..
thank you the creator for the creation..
women..

Tanu wed Manu

It is so refreshing and fresh. I loved the movie; thats the simplest way I can put this movie. Madhavan has gone paces ahead in his role. Jummy Shergil is really cool in his role. I loved the fresh faces in the movie. Kangana is really just perfect for the role. Finally a nice family movie without an Item number.

My say must watch family entertainer.

Satisfaction.. My thoughts

A question which ponders a lot in my head is, can you really satisfy anyone? A rich man never stops working; a poor man always tries to earn more. We never satisfied with food we eat or the clothes that we wear. It is this search of satisfaction that has changed the world around us. Being satisfied I feel now is truly a blessing.

Ti know what drives this phenomenon let us look at a babies face; on seeing his dad or mom; or just the few minutes spend; leaves on the child faces an expression that I call satisfaction. As we grow up; It is this that we all miss. I guess it is innocence that we miss the most in our pursuit of life leaving us with no satisfaction.

Change We Can

140 characters is all it really takes to bring a change, In these recent times where Media is actually a handle for politicians who tend to promote there news and Ideology. Twitter is the new mass media, Look at Egypt and Libya; it managed to create a revolution.

The new generation zist is two characters RT... which means Re Tweet.. Create a trend which can and will take the world by storm. I can only hope this change is here to stay. Let us make a revolution, I would love for a day to come when bureaucrats can stand and watch the world they built being brought by a normal person like you and me.

So here I say be the change you can and bring a change we can.
